I found her classes to be more helpful than the bits and pieces of information I received from my health care practitioners. I didn't know what I didn't know at the time, so walking through various subjects from beginning to end helped equipped me with so much knowledge that I could go back to my doctors/consultants and ask important questions. She shares information that is research based. I would've never known most of the knowledge she shared from experienced mothers. I also like how she includes dad so he knows things he can do to help. While I highly recommend Maggie to first time mothers, there are several topics that been there, done that mothers would find beneficial. I know her doula services are equally outstanding." James G.: "We loved Maggie. She was hands down one of the most important people in our corner when we delivered our twins 6.5 weeks early via cesarean section. It was such a relief to have her with our first born, Maricella, watching over her while my husband was able to stay in the room with me while our son, Jacob, was born. After both children were taken to the NICU, and under strict instructions my husband followed as to not let them be without a parent right there at their sides. Maggie stayed with me and held my hand and walked me through post c-section so that I could go and visit my two loves in the NICU. She continually checked in and was endlessly supportive of both myself and my husband in a time where I so badly wanted my Mom present - Maggie was EXACTLY what I needed in those raw, vulnerable moments. Brian G.: "My wife hired Maggie to be her doula, and she was amazing. Maggie met with my wife twice before the big day, talking over her birth plan and strategies for relaxation. She answered my wife's text in the wee hours of the morning when her contractions started and arrived at the house an hour later. From the moment she arrived, she was an amazing presence -- constantly calming and giving confidence to my wife with both her voice and touch. She accompanied us to the hospital and presented the staff our birthing plan (which we had forgotten at home, but she had remembered), and continually stayed at my wife's side, even for several hours after my wife gave birth. My wife remarked that she could never have met her goal of natural birth without Maggie's help -- and that Maggie would need a hand massage after all of the hours of pressing on my wife's lower back (which really eased my wife's pain during the delivery).
